Can I walk with the SmartGlasses?
After proper training, and depending on the indications of your specialist, you will be authorized under your own responsibility to walk while using your own vision and the extra "help view" provided by the screens of the Smartglasses.
Can it be recharged with a Powerbank?
The charging of SmartGlasses is simple through a standard USB cable, so it can be charged through any USB charger to electric plug or in the car, allowing recharging in any situation.
It can also be charged by connecting the aforementioned USB cable to a computer or to a powerbank. A powerbank => 6,000 mAh is recommended. It is also possible to use the Smartglasses while they are being loaded simultaneously by any of the aforementioned methods.
Can the Patient acquire RETIPLUS® without training with their Specialist?
Can the Patient directly acquire the SmartGlasses with RETIPLUS?
RETIPLUS® is prescribed and sold through Ophthalmology and OptometryCenters that have Certified Specialists, RETIPLUS® CERTIFIED OPTOMETRISTS (RCOs).
Could I go to the cinema or theatre?
It depends of visual conditions and pathologies, but in general many people recover the illusion of being able to enjoy theatre, museums and sports and leisure activities that before having RETIPLUS had abandoned. However, movies and television have major limitations.
Do SmartGlasses need to be connected to the internet?
Do not.Does the System need to be connected to the internet to work?
No. You only have to connect the Tablet to the internet at the moment of login for verification of active license and authenticated user through your personal password. Once the RETIPLUS platform has been recognized the user, the internet connection is no longer necessary.
How can I get certified as an RCO?
PLUSINDES regularly holds RETIPLUS Certification Courses that are announced on this website. The courses are face-to-face and explain the methodology and conclusions of the RETIPLUS Clinical Study, as well as guidelines for patient selection, clinical techniques to perform the evaluation of the patient's visual function through the SmartGlasses, and the procedures and experience for the "RETIPLUS digital eye test".
How long does the battery last?
It depends considerably on the use and functions that are used. The contour mode, for example, is a large energy consumer due to the powerful algorithms required in real time. However, in the worst case, the battery lasts 2 hours.
How to focus the image?
Unlike other devices with screens close to the eyes that require intermediate lenses for focusing. However, our SmartGlasses works on Augmented Reality. The images are projected to infinity and are always on focus.
